FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – Trumaine Johnson has been mostly a bystander, watching and giving some Jets teammates advice while nursing a quad injury. But Johnson was back on the field Thursday, fully participating in practice for the first time in more than a month.
If the veteran cornerback doesn’t have any setbacks in the next couple of days, Johnson should be cleared to play Sunday against the Bills.
“It’s been a month and a couple of days so I’m definitely ready,” Johnson said. “Just sitting out there, supporting the team, my teammates, it’s a different feeling. I’m anxious to get back out there.
