Unprompted when asked about McGuire, the team’s sixth-round pick a year ago, Mitchell made the comparison to the Hall of Famer, and stood by the extreme opinion.
“He has the skill set to be a LaDainian Tomlinson, if he was given that opportunity,” Mitchell said following the team’s final practice of mandatory minicamp on Thursday.
“That’s not what presents itself to him at this point in time.
