Jets fans will get their first extended look at the team’s starters Friday night against the Giants. They will play at least one half, and in certain cases, well into the third quarter, coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday following the final training camp practice of the summer.
Certain players will be on the field for a set amount of plays and others need to be out there even longer. Most important to the Jets coach, though, is his starters facing adversity.
“They need to be not in just great situations,” Bowles said. “They need to be in disadvantaged type of situations.
