The Jets are closing in on a contract Thursday with free agent wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, according to NFL Media. He recently paid a visit to their facility.
Pryor gives the Jets depth at the position, along with Jermaine Kearse, Robby Anderson, and Quincy Enunwa (returning from neck surgery). The Jets also drafted Chad Hansen and ArDarius Stewart last year.
Pryor gives the Jets a big-bodied red zone target (6-foot-4, 228 pounds). He spent last season with Washington and the previous two years with the Browns. Pryor was a receiver the past two seasons, after he played quarterback from 2011-13 with the Raiders.
