have claimed WR Lucky Whitehead off of waivers from the Cowboys on Wednesday, according to Adam Schefter.
The Cowboys still elected to move on from Whitehead, even though he had all charges dropped against him and the warrant for his arrest was rescinded in the recent legal matter that turned out to be a case of mistaken identity.
Whitehead, 25, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his three-year, $1.585 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season.
