After getting waived by the 49ers after rookie minicamp, undrafted free agent WR KD Cannon out of Baylor was claimed by the New York Jets.
Cannon offers big-play upside; last season he ranked 22nd among 187 draft-eligible receivers with an average of 2.72 yards per route run.
Cannon is known for his ability to get behind the defense. He ranked 11th in the draft class last season with 34 deep targets (passes traveling at least 20 yards in the air); his 535 receiving yards on such passes ranked ninth in the class (and 14th in the entire nation).
