Jets’ C.J. Mosley, Quinnen Williams may miss huge Browns game

The Jets may be without two of their top defensive players for Monday’s game against the Browns.

Coach Adam Gase said linebacker C.J. Mosley and defensive lineman Quinnen Williams are unlikely to practice Wednesday and their status beyond that is murky.

Mosley underwent an MRI exam on Monday for a groin injury he suffered in the third quarter of Sunday’s 17-16, season-opening loss to the Bills. Mosley had played a fantastic game in his Jets debut, including an interception returned for a touchdown, before he was injured.

“It’s hard for me to tell because it’s all about how he reacts,” Gase said when asked about a timeline for Mosley.
