Suspension cost Chris Herndon all of September. A hamstring injury cost him October. It’s now November and the young tight end has still yet to practice fully this season.
Herndon wasn’t ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, listed as questionable after continuing to practice on a limited basis on Friday, but coach Adam Gase made it sound unlikely he will play.
“I don’t want to put him out there if he’s not feeling good,” Gase said.
Herndon was expected to be a key part of the offense this year, after catching 39 passes for 502 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie, but he hurt his hamstring during the tail-end of his suspension and has yet to feel good enough to be a full participant in practice.
