Nick Mangold does plenty of good for the Jets on the field, but it sounds like the Pro Bowl center is helping his neighbors out too.
The Pro Bowl center called police at 5:30 a.m. last Sunday when he heard his car alarm go off, according to ESPN. Police later took five suspects into custody as a result of the call. Apparently, a string of burglaries have occurred near Chatham, N.J., lately, and Mangold phoning police may have helped solve the crime.
Richard W. Isaacs, 19, and Leonard Watts, 18 face charges including burglary and theft as a result of the incident, per ESPN.
