FLORHAM PARK -- Bryce Petty's 2017 wasn't perfect. At times, it was downright ugly. He threw three touchdowns and seven interceptions, won just one of three starts, and twice left games early due to injury -- the second a season-ending torn shoulder labrum.
But the Jets' third-year quarterback didn't hurt his confidence. If anything, he came away with even more optimism.
"I can play this game," Petty said at his locker Tuesday afternoon.
Petty is one of three quarterbacks -- Josh McCown and Christian Hackenberg the others -- battling it out to be the Jets' starter.
