The Jets have signed unrestricted free agent defensive end Jarvis Jenkins, who, like Brandon Marshall last season and Matt Forté earlier this month, played most recently for the Bears before becoming a member of the Green & White.
Jenkins (6'4", 315) entered the NFL as Washington's second-round pick (41st overall) in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Clemson. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve with a knee injury, then played the next three seasons for the Redskins (missing the first four games of the '13 season due to an NFL suspension). He logged two sacks in 44 games (33 starts).
