Brandon Marshall was a surprise scratch last night against the Giants.
It’s unclear what type of injury — if any — the Jets’ star receiver has. He didn’t appear to be in pain before the annual “Snoopy Bowl.” Marshall had a playful conversation with a member of the Jets front office during pregame warmups and then took a seat on the bench. He didn’t look to be in any discomfort.
It could be a “rest day” for the veteran wideout, but the timing seems awfully peculiar. The third preseason game is known as a dress rehearsal of sorts, given the fact that starters typically don’t play in the fourth and final preseason game.
