FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets defensive line coach Pepper Johnson, who speaks to the media only three times per year (the minimum requirement), refused to answer questions Tuesday about any of the players he coaches.
Yep, the atmosphere is tight at One Jets Drive.
Johnson, once a beloved and affable player with the New York Giants, made a mockery of the league's media policy by declining to engage reporters in a mandatory interview session that probably would've lasted five minutes.
"Before we get started, there’s no Pepper Johnson questions,” he said.
