The Jets addressed a need in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, selecting North Carolina State cornerback Juston Burris.
Burris is a big, press corner who some viewed as more a safety than a corner, but the Jets plan to keep him at cornerback. He had just three interceptions in his career and had some problems with penalties, but he started three years for the Wolfpack and had good measurable. He ran the 40 in 4.49 and benched 225 pounds 19 times.
“I put him in the sixth round when I passed through the school,” a scout said in the NFL Draft Preview book.
