Despite dwindling cap space, the Jets are adding another linebacker.
Gang Green is signing former Bucs and Cowboys ILB Bruce Carter, according to a source. However, the Jets had just $719,647 in cap room heading into Saturday, according to NFLPA records, so they may have to make a corresponding move before this one becomes official.
Carter started three games and played in 14 for Tampa Bay last season. He started a combined 32 games over the four previous seasons with the Cowboys, so it's possible the Jets will have him and Erin Henderson compete for the starting ILB job next to David Harris.
