The Jets added depth at cornerback Friday by agreeing to terms on a one-year deal with former Texans backup Darryl Morris.
A fourth-year pro who began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the 49ers, Morris had eight defensive tackles and seven special-teams tackles in 12 games last season.
Morris’ best season came in 2014, when the 5-foot-10, 188-pound defender recorded an interception, six pass breakups and 40 tackles in 11 games. Jets GM Mike Maccagnan worked for the Texans through 2014.
The Jets depth chart at cornerback currently features Buster Skrine as the No.
