The New York Jets are activating Aaron Rodgers from injured reserve, but the quarterback will not play again in the 2023 season, coach Robert Saleh told reporters Wednesday.
Rodgers has been practicing with the Jets since being designated to return Nov. 29. Wednesday was the final day for the Jets to activate Rodgers or he would have returned to injured reserve for the rest of the season.
Saleh said the Jets had the roster flexibility to activate Rodgers and allow him to keep practicing with the team, calling the move the next step in the quarterback's rehabilitation.
