The New York Jets drafted running back Trenton Cannon in the sixth round out of this year’s NFL Draft. The speedster spent his college career at Virginia State where his 4.40 speed was too much to handle for opponents. Cannon was a triple threat for the Trojans. He spent time running, catching, and returning the football as they found ways to get the football in his hands.
His path to making the Jets roster will not be easy, however. Running backs Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell are virtual locks to make the roster.
