Jeremy Bates didn't 'overhaul' Jets' offense, but what might it look like?

Since Jeremy Bates was the Jets' quarterbacks coach last season, it seemed reasonable, when he was promoted this offseason to offensive coordinator, that he would retain some of the schematic approach used last year by coordinator John Morton.

And that is indeed the case, according to Jets left tackle Kelvin Beachum.

"I don't think he overhauled things," Beachum said Tuesday. "There are some things that are still the same. This is a quasi-West Coast type of offense. He takes it back to those Broncos days, where it's outside zone [runs], which we ran last year and ran effectively at times.
