Jamal Adams injury news could force Jets secondary shuffle

Jamal Adams hasn’t missed a game since the Jets drafted him in 2017, but he doesn’t appear likely to play Sunday against the Dolphins.

The Pro Bowl safety officially has been listed as doubtful after missing every practice this week with the sprained ankle he suffered last week against Cincinnati.

Head coach Adam Gase said before practice Friday that Adams has “not yet” been ruled out of Sunday’s game, but the Jets could be without several pieces in the secondary against veteran Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fellow safety Matthias Farley (ribs) and cornerback Arthur Maulet (calf) also are doubtful, while corner Brian Poole will not play due to a concussion.
