Something has to change, and Jets safety Jamal Adams is taking it upon himself to make sure the defense snaps this unwanted trend of underwhelming performances.
Adams made it clear he wasn’t criticizing the coaching staff or ripping the defense’s work habits. Still, after three losses in which the defense was exposed, the big-talking safety believes he has a solution to fix what ails the unit: Players-only meetings on Fridays for the defense to fix communication issues he’s noticed by watching extra film.
“We just need to get better,” Adams said Thursday.
