FLORHAM PARK -- Brandon Shell is a modest young man, almost sheepish, so he'd never brag on himself. Allow Kelvin Beachum, then, to offer a proper assessment of how Shell -- a second-year Jets right tackle -- played in last Saturday's preseason opener against the Titans.
"He stoned a lot of people, really just stoned them," said Beachum, the Jets' veteran left tackle. "He really was in control of his body, was in balance a lot. That's one thing you look for when you've got a young guy that's really trying to make a statement for himself: How in control is he?
