ORLANDO, Fla. -- Get ready for yet another Jets summer quarterback competition.
Speaking to reporters Tuesday at the NFL Annual Meeting, Jets coach Todd Bowles confirmed the obvious: Josh McCown is currently his starting quarterback, but that means absolutely nothing in terms of who will start in Week 1.
Still, McCown has a leg up right now. He will compete in training camp with Teddy Bridgewater (coming off a serious knee injury) and whichever quarterback the Jets draft third overall.
Maybe the Jets bring back Christian Hackenberg or Bryce Petty for another camp, as a fourth quarterback, while they evaluate Bridgewater's knee.
