The Jets are heading into Week 4 and second-year safety Marcus Maye still hasn't taken the field due to a foot injury.
Naturally, some Jets fans have a tendency to worry – by now, they've been conditioned to. And with the franchise's history of completely missing on second-round picks, there's at least a low level of concern among the superstitious.
So is Maye in danger of falling into the Jets' second-round jinx? Doubtful. Todd Bowles said Monday that he's "hopeful" Maye will play against the Jaguars on Sunday, but that it's still too early to tell.
