Injuries taking toll on Jets’ receiving corps

The Jets are suddenly getting a little thin at wide receiver.

Injuries are piling up at the position. Chris Owusu, who was having a great camp, suffered a concussion on Friday and did not practice Saturday. Shaq Evans (ribs) and DeVier Posey (hamstring) also sat out.

Then, during the Green and White practice at MetLife Stadium, T.J. Graham (hamstring) and Walt Powell (groin/hamstring) both suffered injuries. The team lost rookie Devin Smith early in training camp to broken ribs and a punctured lung.

“We want our guys to be out there,” quarterback Geno Smith said. “We understand that injuries occur, but hopefully those guys can have a speedy recovery and get back to making plays for us.
