Sheldon Richardson returned to the practice field for the Jets on Monday … and he’s hungry.
“I’m coming to eat,” Richardson said with a smile.
The defensive tackle served his four-game suspension for violating the league’s drug policy and is now clear to practice and play again. He is expected to make his debut Sunday against the Redskins.
For Richardson, it ends a challenging period. He was permitted to attend meetings and lift weights with his teammates, but he had to practice on his own. He spent most days working out in the team’s indoor facility while the rest of the team was on the practice field.
