The immediate future of Jets defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers remained unclear Monday.
Jets coach Todd Bowles said he was waiting on more information before making any public announcements about whether Rodgers will coach this week. Rodgers missed Sunday’s win over the Broncos as he deals with an illness Bowles called “serious.”
It is possible Rodgers will need to take a leave of absence, but Bowles said it was too soon to say.
The Jets defensive players dedicated Sunday’s win to Rodgers and are hoping to have their coach back soon.
“All we can do is stay positive and send prayers for coach Kacy,” safety Jamal Adams said.
