If Haason Reddick ends holdout soon, he has time to get ready for Jets' opener, head coach Robert Saleh says

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- There's still a chance Haason Reddick could play in the season opener for the New York Jets.

That is, if the star edge rusher ends his lengthy contract holdout before then.

"Yeah, I'm assuming he's in phenomenal shape," coach Robert Saleh said Tuesday. "He's a veteran. He knows what he needs to get ready. He's had success in multiple buildings and multiple schemes with multiple coaching staffs, so he's going to know what he needs to do to be ready for Week 1.

"So he still has plenty of time.
