While a number of players are going home to their Louisiana roots, Jets offensive coordinator John Morton is making somewhat of a homecoming as well. Morton coached with the Saints in 2006 and 2015-16. He’s been helping defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers throughout the week with the Saints’ personnel, but Morton’s knowledge can only help to a certain extent.
“With that quarterback, it doesn’t matter who you put out there,” he said regarding Drew Brees. “With the defensive personnel, I think it’s good to know some of these guys.
