‘I love the kid’: Jets come all-out in support of Sheldon Richardson

Sheldon Richardson won’t be with the Jets for at least four games this season — and likely more — but the defensive lineman still hasn’t lost the support of his teammates, despite his recent arrest.

After making assurances there would be no further incidents following his suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, Richardson was involved in a high-speed chase with Missouri police on July 14 and charged with resisting arrest, which he failed to inform the team about.

Teammates acknowledged Richardson may need to earn back trust in the locker room, but the 24-year-old’s second mistake in a short span has only made those around him want to be around more to help.
