It was perhaps no coincidence that the most enjoyable weekend of New York Jets football in recent times might’ve been last week’s bye.
The New England Patriots score on each of their first six touchdowns in Sunday’s divisional showdown at Gillette Stadium crushing the Jets by a 47-13 final. New England (3-4) has now earned 12 consecutive victories over Gang Green.
New England began their onslaught through trickery, as Kendrick Bourne found Nelson Agholor for a 25-yard score, needing just four plays after the opening kickoff to give take the early, permanent lead. The Jets countered with a three-and-out that lost four yards before the Patriots expanded their lead with seven more plays, creating an early two-touchdown lead through Damien Harris’ six-yard punch-in.
