CINCINNATI — They are a faceless, essentially nameless, bunch with as little star power in the starting 11 as you’ll find on any defense in the NFL.
And they’re proud of it.
This is what makes the Jets defense so fun to watch: Take star safety Jamal Adams out of the mix, and they don’t have a player on who would get third- or fourth-place votes for a Pro Bowl invite.
Yet the 4-7 Jets, winners of their past three games, bring the NFL’s No. 1 ranked rushing defense — eighth overall — to 0-11 Cincinnati on Sunday.
