Jets quarterback Geno Smith returned to the practice field Monday, less than two weeks after his jaw was broken by a teammate.
Smith was unable to participate in practice, but watched while wearing a red jersey indicating no contact. He did not have a helmet on. Smith stretched with the team then went to the rehabilitation area with the other injured players.
Smith suffered a broken jaw on Aug. 11 after linebacker IK Enemkpali punched him in the face in the locker room. The two had a disagreement over $600 Smith owed Enemkpali, who was released the day he punched Smith and is now on the Bills.
