NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Former Jets and Ravens tight end Konrad Reuland died Monday, two weeks after suffering a brain aneurysm. He was 29.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh announced Reuland’s death before addressing reporters Monday.
“We lost a Raven today,” Harbaugh said. “I just want to offer condolences to his family. We love Konrad Reuland. Every single guy in the locker room loves him.”
Reuland suffered the aneurysm on Nov. 28 and underwent surgery a day later.
Reuland played two years at Notre Dame before transferring to Stanford.
The San Francisco 49ers signed the 6-foot-5, 254-pounder as an undrafted free agent in 2011.
