FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets legend Marty Lyons, a member of the team's Ring of Honor, is recovering from a mild stroke he suffered three weeks ago.
"I'm very fortunate," the 60-year-old former defensive lineman said Tuesday in a phone interview. "I got the best of the worst. It could've been a lot worse."
Lyons, the longtime color analyst on the Jets' radio broadcasts, said he will miss the first two preseason games, but he hopes to be back in the booth for the August 26 game against the New York Giants.
