ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and wide receiver Brandon Marshall added their names to the New York Jets' record book on Sunday -- on the same play.
Fitzpatrick broke Vinny Testaverde's franchise record for most touchdown passes in a season. He tossed his 30th touchdown on a 17-yard pass in the second quarter against the Buffalo Bills. Testaverde set the previous mark in 1998.
Fitzpatrick's scoring pass went to Marshall, giving him the team record for most receiving yards in a season. He surpassed Don Maynard's iconic mark of 1,434 yards, set in 1967.
