To the victor go the spoils ... or at least the nominations. And Ryan Fitzpatrick, the winning quarterback in Sunday's overtime comeback over the Giants, has been nominated for two weekly NFL awards today — the FedEx Air Player of the Week and the Castrol EDGE Clutch Player of the Week.
For the FedEx award, given to the past week's "epic air performance," Fitzpatrick will be battling Carolina's Cam Newton and Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger at the Internet ballot box. The only Jets QB to win the FedEx Air award was Brett Favre in 2008.
