Simpson, when you let a 2-7 sad sack come into your house and steal your lunch money and slap you silly, when your team is unprepared and uninspired and unconscionably inept, when your record drops to 23-35 through 55 games and 13-29 in your past 42, you cannot survive as head coach and should not.
