New York Jets fans have witnessed a lot of bad offensive line play ever since the glory days of Nick Mangold and D’Brickashaw Ferguson. Despite the many years of struggles, the 2023 edition of the Jets’ offensive line might be the worst of all.
Everything came to a boiling point in the Jets’ season-ending 30-0 loss in Miami. Following multiple hard hits, Zach Wilson exited in the second quarter with a concussion after being relentlessly harassed on nearly every snap he played. The nightmare performance highlighted just how low this offensive line has stooped.
It’s easy to pin the Jets’ offensive line woes on the backups who are playing due to injuries, but as the film shows, the unit’s struggles largely come from two of Joe Douglas’ biggest investments: Mekhi Becton and Laken Tomlinson.
