Another former Jet is finding another life in the Alliance of American Football.
Wide receiver Charles Johnson, who was with the Jets last summer, has made himself an early star through the first two games with the Orlando Apollos in the AAF. Johnson grabbed an early record 192 receiving yards in the Apollos’ 37-29 comeback win against the San Antonio Commanders on Sunday.
He also snagged two touchdown passes from former Panthers and University of Texas quarterback Garrett Gilbert.
Johnson, who turns 30 later this month, has 252 receiving yards through the first two games of the AAF’s inaugural season.
