NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Kellen Winslow Jr. just can’t let it go.
The former New York Jets tight end is still jabbing away at ex-teammate Antonio Cromartie after the two got into a classic Twitter skirmish on Wednesday.
Winslow, apparently irked some recent headline-grabbing antics, let loose on the “poser” cornerback that he played alongside in 2013 but was dealt a knockout blow when Cromartie’s reply included a reference to Winslow’s infamous arrest outside a Target store in New Jersey.
Cromartie took the high road on Thursday. But Winslow, who has challenged his former teammate to a fist fight, kept the exchange going:
Winslow was referring to footage from HBO’s “Hard Knocks” in 2010, when Cromartie struggled to name his many children on camera.
