Former Bills running back Karlos Williams visited the Jets on Tuesday, a source confirmed to Newsday, but it appears nothing is imminent.
Though Todd Bowles and the coaching staff have had to contend with plenty of camp injuries at the position, Williams’ trip to Florham Park, New Jersey, was merely a matter of due diligence.
He was released on Saturday by Bill coach Rex Ryan and cleared waivers on Monday.
The 23-year-old free agent was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Complicating matters was Williams showing up to training camp 20 pounds overweight.
