The Jets have themselves a new offensive coordinator. He may not have been their first or second option, but Saints receivers coach John Morton will now run that side of the ball.
Morton, 47, played professional football (NFL and NFL Europe) for five seasons (1993-1997), then started coaching in 2002. He coached the Raiders tight ends (2002-2004), and the wide receivers for the Chargers (2005), 49ers (2011-2014) and Saints (2015-present). He was USC's receivers coach from 2007 through 2008, and its offensive coordinator from 2009 through 2011.
