FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – Elijah McGuire’s phone blew up after he rushed for the winning touchdown Sunday, but the call that really mattered to him came from the Jets' sideline. He rewarded that trust when he punched it in from the 1-yard line with 1:17 to go in the 27-23 win over the Bills.
“It means everything,” McGuire said after Wednesday’s practice. “It really showed me that the coaches had confidence, not only in myself but in offensive line as well. I guess you could say it gave me a boost of confidence. But I’m doing what I do at the best of my ability, and that’s just showing that I can make plays and help these guys as much as I can.
