Days before the New York Jets would start their first preseason game of 2017, it was announced that wide receiver Quincy Enunwa would be out the entire year. Enunwa was supposed to be a big part of the offense after having a breakout season.
Enunwa had 105 targets, was second on the team with 58 receptions, led the team with 857 yards and four receiving touchdowns. After the 2016 season, the Jets released both Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, hoping to give Enunwa more opportunities.
Enunwa was officially cleared to participate in training camp on July 28th.
