Dozen players miss Jets practice on Wednesday

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Twelve Jets didn’t practice on Wednesday, all but one because of injury. The most troublesome seemed to be center Nick Mangold, who has a sprained ankle, and running back Bilal Powell, who suffered a case of turf toe last Sunday.

Brandon Marshall was out with a new injury to his foot, but the wide receiver did not sound concerned. Cornerback Buster Skrine (knee) and defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle) also missed practice.

“It’s alarming to see so many,” coach Todd Bowles said. “But hopefully by [Thursday] or Friday we’ll get some of these guys back.
