Quinton Coples didn't last long in his second stint of playing for a Mike Tannenbaum-led team. He was cut by the Dolphins on Friday, the team announced.
Coples was Gang Green's first-round pick in 2012 but was cut in November while in the midst of yet another lackluster season. The DE/OLB was nabbed off waivers by Tannenbaum, who originally drafted him, and became a Dolphin for the rest of the season.
It's no surprise that the Dolphins let him go — they would have been on the hook for a $7.8 million salary in 2016 for him.
