LONDON — Maybe the Jets should consider an option offense with the way quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick ran Sunday against the Dolphins.
Fitzpatrick was not always accurate with his passes, but with his feet he picked up three first downs on third downs in the 27-14 win. He had runs of 22 and 19 yards and finished with 34 yards on nine carries, more than any Dolphin had in the game.
“I don’t think we’re going to live and die by the scramble by me,” Fitzpatrick said with a smile.
Coach Todd Bowles said he told Fitzpatrick he needs to work on sliding.
