At this point in time, the defensive secondary of the New York Jets has the potential to be the biggest strength of the team. Led by top talent in cornerbacks Trumaine Johnson and Morris Claiborne plus up and coming stars in safeties Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye, it’s shaping up nicely heading into the regular season.
With training camp in full swing for the Jets, cornerback Derrick Jones is already making a name for himself. The second-year player is looking sharp in positional drills and is making his case to not only make the final roster of the Jets but also be a key contributor in the future.
