Deflategate ruling keeps Jets — and Rex — under Patriots’ heel

Apparently Judge Richard Berman is not a Jets fan.

Any hope Jets fans had of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady missing a quarter of the season and therefore opening up the AFC East race faded Thursday when Berman ruled against commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL and nullified Brady’s four-game suspension. There is a chance the NFL could win an appeal and get the suspension reinstated, but that feels like a slimmer possibility than Bill Belichick hosting “Saturday Night Live.”

The suspension never directly affected the Jets because they are not scheduled to play the Patriots until Week 7 in Foxborough.
